This week is National FBLA-PBL Week! It’s full of dress up days and days that you can use to spread the word about FBLA!
On Tuesday, be sure to wear purple to support March of Dimes. March of Dimes is a big part of FBLA and we want to support them in any way possible. This day gives us one more chance to tell people about the amazing chances that March of Dimes gives premature babies.
Wednesday is Blue and Gold day. This is the day to appreciate your adviser. Advisers help out so much throughout the year supporting our chapters. They donate their time and effort and help all of us with practicing for our competitions and they help to plan and participate in fundraisers. Our advisers definitely need all the recognition they can receive because of everything they do for our chapters. So, be sure to wear Blue and Gold on Wednesday!
Most chapters have T-shirts or Polos to promote their chapter. Thursday gives everyone in the chapter a chance to show support and wear those shirts. Please inform everyone in your chapter of this opportunity and support your chapter.
Thursday is also Service In Sync day. Service In Sync, this year, is focused on Elementary Education Literacy. Your chapters are asked to go to elementary schools in your district and to read to elementary students. Younger students look up to us and would be amazed to see us all in their classrooms for a while. Please talk to your advisers about going and spending a couple of hours to read to some elementary students!
And, on Friday, dress up in your professional business attire to promote FBLA. You can be sure that several people will ask you why you are dressed up, and you can take that opportunity to tell them about how wonderful FBLA is and about all the opportunities that FBLA offers to members.
This week gives us all the chance to promote our wonderful organization, and we should take the opportunity to do this.
Have an amazing National FBLA-PBL week! And, be sure to involve your chapters as well!
