1. UNDERSTAND YOUR TOPIC
Make sure you know what you’re going to write about before you begin. This means thinking through your ideas, making an outline, and doing your research. This will save you a lot of time and frustration in the long run!
2. BE CONCISE
Make your ideas stand out more than the number of words you use. This will keep your ideas clear and your readers thankful.
3. GET FEEDBACK
Ask other people for their opinion, and get feedback from as many different kinds of people as possible. Each person will have a different perspective that will help you see your report in new ways; and even if you don’t make the recommended changes, it’ll give you some ideas to think about.
4. REVISE REVISE REVISE
And revise. You can never read your report enough times, and it can always be better. Eventually you’ll have to call it good enough and submit it; but until then, keep revising!
5. JUST DO IT
Sit down and start writing. That’s the only way that you’ll have something to keep concise and get feedback on. This part seems like the easiest, but it can be the most challenging part for some. Just remember, you can always revise!
