Jadyn McAbee is a senior at Roseburg High School and is serving as the Rogue Umpqua Region Vice President. She has been a member of FBLA for three years now, and she has completed the Future, Business, and Leader Level BAA’s and the Community Level for CSA’s. Her sophomore year, she placed tenth in Business Ethics and her junior year, she placed second in Emerging Business Issues, qualifying her for Nationals.
When Jadyn graduates, she plans on attending Oregon State where she will major in Psychology and minor in Business, so that she can strive towards opening her own psychology firm. Jadyn’s mom has been the biggest source of inspiration towards her career goals since her mom has a degree in psychology. One day, Jadyn plans on moving back to the South, since that is where she is from, so that she can be with her family and childhood friends.
Being in FBLA has improved Jadyn’s interview skills, public speaking, and social interactions. FBLA has given Jadyn the opportunity to step out of her comfort zone and grow more within herself. It is through FBLA that Jadyn’s confidence has been built. Jadyn believes FBLA teaches more than just about business. FBLA teaches members about life skills and themselves. Without FBLA, Jadyn may not have found a place where she feels she belongs, and her role as a leader might never have been known to her.
