Meet Oregon FBLA’s newest partner – Zinch!
Mick Hagen, Founder of Zinch, always dreamed of attending college at Princeton University. He was a stellar student, but with average test scores, he wasn’t on their recruitment radar. So he decided to take matters into his own hands. Using his skills, he created a portfolio to highlight his passions, achievements, and activities. His initiative not only landed him an admission letter to Princeton, but also sparked the beginning of Zinch, an online resource for students to create their first online, “professional” profile in a fun, interactive, Facebook-like setting.
Zinch aims to level the playing field by providing all high school students with the leverage they need to thoughtfully engage in the college admissions process.
What is Zinch? Zinch is…
- FREE for all students.
- Home of the BEST scholarship portal available. With over 1.9 billion dollars in scholarships in a user-friendly format, it is a cinch to get money for school on Zinch! Even better, any scholarship that a student wins on the site will be doubled by Zinch!
- Completely private. Students are only connected with scholarships and colleges that they are interested in!
- Filled with nearly 900 colleges and universities (all non-profit) actively looking for well-rounded students who are “more than a test score." Zinch partners include Yale, Stanford, Princeton, UCLA, Cal, Rice, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and many more!
Oregon FBLA is excited to announce this new partnership with Zinch! All Oregon FBLA members (AND friends of Oregon FBLA members) are invited to sign up. Through this partnership, Zinch is committed to contribute $2 per sign up to the Oregon FBLA Travel Award fund for competitive event winners.
